What personal data we collect
We collect personal data when you open an account, when you use the site and when you contact our team. We also create data ourselves, such as records of your deposits, withdrawals and any safer gambling limits applied to your account. The categories below cover what we hold in the ordinary course of running your account with us.
Account and contact details
- Your full name, date of birth and residential address.
- Your e-mail address and, where you give one, a mobile number used for account security.
- Your username, security questions and a password held in encrypted form.
- Your account currency, communication preferences and marketing choices.
- Any deposit limits, loss limits, session reminders, time-outs or self-exclusion settings you apply.
Identity and verification documents
We hold a gaming licence and are required to confirm who our customers are, so before a first withdrawal and at other points during the life of your account we ask for documents that confirm your identity, age, address and, where relevant, your source of funds. These may include photographic identification, a recent utility bill or bank statement, and evidence of income or wealth. We keep only what the check requires and the record we must retain afterwards.
Transactions and play
- Deposits, withdrawals, amounts, dates and the status of each transaction.
- Partial payment details, such as the last digits of a card or the reference shown by your chosen method.
- Bonus history, wagering progress and the balances recorded in the cashier.
- Game rounds, stakes, outcomes and session lengths.
Device and usage data
- IP address and the approximate location derived from it.
- Device type, operating system, browser and screen settings.
- Login times, pages viewed and actions taken on the site.
- Cookie and similar identifiers set when you visit.
- Live chat transcripts, e-mails and notes of any other contact with our team.
Why we use your personal data
We use your data for a defined set of purposes, and not for anything incompatible with them:
- To open, run and secure your account, including logging you in and keeping your balance accurate.
- To confirm that you are 18 or over and that you are who you say you are.
- To process deposits, withdrawals and any refunds or adjustments.
- To detect and prevent fraud, collusion, bonus abuse, account takeover and money laundering.
- To apply safer gambling tools, to monitor play for signs of harm and to act on a self-exclusion you have registered.
- To meet our legal and regulatory duties, including record-keeping and reporting obligations.
- To answer your questions through live chat or e-mail and to look into complaints.
- To send service messages about your account, such as changes to these terms or to the site.
- To send offers and promotional messages where you have opted in, and only until you opt out.
- To keep the site stable, to test changes and to understand how our pages are used.
Under-18s
Our service is for adults aged 18 and over only. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and any account found to belong to a person under 18 is closed and its data handled in line with our legal duties.
The legal bases we rely on under UK GDPR
UK data protection law requires us to have a lawful reason for each use of your data. In plain words, these are ours:
| What we use it for | Legal basis | What that means in practice |
|---|---|---|
| Running your account, taking payments and paying out winnings | Performance of a contract | We cannot provide the service you asked for without this data. |
| Age and identity checks, anti-money-laundering records and regulatory reporting | Legal obligation | The law requires us to hold and, in some cases, disclose this information. |
| Fraud prevention, site security and handling disputes | Legitimate interests | We have a genuine business need, balanced against your rights, and you may object. |
| Marketing e-mails, texts and push messages | Consent | You choose to receive these and can withdraw at any time. |
Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting anything we did before you withdrew it. Where we rely on a legal obligation, we cannot delete the data on request until the retention period that applies to it has ended.
How long we keep your data and how we protect it
We keep your personal data for as long as your account is open, and afterwards for the period that the gambling, anti-money-laundering, tax and accounting rules that apply to us require. Once that period has passed, records are deleted or anonymised so they can no longer be linked to you. Data held because of a self-exclusion is kept for the duration of that exclusion and the retention period that follows it.
We protect your data with encryption in transit, restricted access on a need-to-know basis, logging of staff activity, and regular testing of our systems. No system can be guaranteed secure, but we act promptly where a problem is identified and notify you and the relevant authority where the law requires.
Keep your account safe
We will never ask for your full password by e-mail or in live chat. If a message asks for it, do not reply and tell us at support@casinocasperspins.co.uk.
Your rights, cookies and contacting us
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Have inaccurate or incomplete details corrected.
- Ask for erasure, where we are not required to keep the data.
- Ask us to restrict how we use your data while a question about it is open.
- Object to uses based on our legitimate interests, and to opt out of marketing at any time.
- Receive certain data in a portable format or have it sent to another provider.
- Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK supervisory authority for data protection.
To use any of these rights, write to support@casinocasperspins.co.uk or open live chat on the site. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act, so that we do not disclose your data to someone else, and we respond within the time limit set by law. We would always like the chance to put something right before you approach the Information Commissioner's Office.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember your settings, measure how the site is used and, where you agree, to tailor the offers you see. You can accept, refuse or change your choices at any time in the cookie settings on the site and in your browser; our Cookie Policy explains each category in full.
Safer gambling and changes to this policy
Some of the data described here is used to apply deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion, and to support the free help available from GambleAware, GamCare, GamStop and the National Gambling Helpline. If we change this policy, the updated version is published on this page, and we tell you directly where the change is significant.
